Affiliate marketing continues to attract professionals from other fields from sales and traditional digital marketing to product and SMM. But breaking into affiliate is almost always a challenge: the pace is different, the processes are different and so are the rules of the game. Not every newcomer is prepared for that reality.
Alina Dovzhenko, the founder of AffiliatePro, knows this firsthand. Over the years, she has helped hundreds of people transition into affiliate, build careers, and understand the core mechanics of Affiliate and BizDev.
What was the key reason you decided to launch the course?
I reached my personal “ceiling” and realized I wanted more not only to earn, but to share my experience. I used to teach languages, and I genuinely enjoyed helping people through education. Many of my friends were stuck in offline jobs and dreamed of remote work and a better quality of life I wanted to give them a clear path.
Interestingly, free mentoring worked worse: when the course and pricing appeared, the demand became real.
How did you know the market was ready for structured training?
It was obvious from what I saw in the market: companies are constantly looking for affiliate managers, yet truly strong specialists are rare. I went through a difficult learning curve myself – trial, error, and real-world experience – so I clearly understood what future managers need to know and how to explain it in simple terms.
How is your course different from others?
This isn’t “recorded lessons and occasional calls.” I work with students personally, stay in touch, and teach without fluff or unnecessary jargon. The program builds step by step and adapts to each student’s pace.
I also recommend strong students to companies – those who complete the homework, go through the practical part, and genuinely care about the profession.
What is the most important part of the program?
The course provides the foundational knowledge you actually need to start, plus a large number of practical assignments at the junior level. Students gain hands-on experience during training, so they join companies already prepared.
How do you choose experts and mentors?
I invite colleagues I trust – real industry practitioners. They share their experience during sessions and help students reinforce what they learn.
How do you measure student progress?
You can clearly see growth through homework and tests. But the main metric is what happens after: employment, promotions to team lead or head-level roles, and working with teams.
What are the most impressive student success stories?
There were cases of fast promotions to team lead roles and being trusted to build teams. One of the strongest stories: a company was so impressed with one of my students that they relocated her to Malta and waited several months while she handled her visa.
Another important outcome: many students became financially independent and changed their lives – including leaving toxic relationships once they started earning on their own.
What happens 3–6 months after the course?
Students become a real part of their teams, work confidently, generate revenue, and often see salary growth. Most importantly, they gain that inner shift: “I’m a professional now.”
How will the Affiliate and BizDev roles change in the next 2–3 years?
The market is growing and there’s more money in it – but competition is getting tougher. More experienced professionals are entering affiliate from sales, negotiation-heavy roles, and management.
System thinking, flexibility, fast learning, working with numbers, and building long-term partnerships will be the most valued skills.
What’s next for AffiliatePro?
I constantly update the program to match current market realities, strengthen key modules, and invite new speakers. Next, I plan to launch a new training direction (a format I haven’t seen on the market yet) and develop AffiliatePro into a real educational community – supporting growth from beginners to leads and managers.
